Updates from September 2023
Paid batches, embeds, timetables and more.
We are thrilled to introduce several new features and improvements to our LMS app that promise to enhance your teaching and learning experience. Let's dive into the details:
Paid Batch
Moderators can now create paid batches, allowing them to set the price and currency. Users will be required to make payments to register for these batches. For Indian users, a 18% GST will be applied and a GST section will be displayed on the billing page, ensuring compliance with local tax regulations.
Additionally, you can now accept payments in USD alongside your chosen currency. Simply configure this in the LMS Settings by enabling "Show USD Equivalent." You can even specify which countries should maintain the original currency, and choose to round off amounts to the nearest hundredth value using the "Apply Rounding on Equivalent" option.
Assignments as URL
Instructors can now request students to complete assignments on external platforms like Google Docs or GitHub, and submit them as URLs. This flexibility makes it easier to have assignments of various formats.
Instructor Notes
Course Instructors can now include private notes within lessons. These notes will only be visible to the Course Creator, Course Evaluator, and Moderators, streamlining communication and collaboration.
Embeds
Instructors can embed various components within lessons, including Google Slides, Vimeo Videos, and Codepen. This feature enhances the interactive and multimedia aspects of your courses.
Timetable
Moderators can now create and manage timetables for batches, scheduling lessons, assignments, quizzes, and live classes. You can also create timetable templates and choose the most suitable one for your batch. The timetable must align with the batch's dates and times, and clicking on events in the calendar will redirect users to the relevant entity.
Student Role
We've introduced a dedicated role for students, called "LMS Student." All new website users will automatically be assigned this role, simplifying user management and access control.
Stay tuned for more exciting developments, and don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or need assistance.
